Vendors Wanted!
NaughtyKnits is looking for vendors for the South Spokane Fiber Fest. The Fiber Fest will be held May 7th in Fairfield Washington (a lovely farming community 35 miles south of Spokane).
The Fiber Fest is an opportunity for knitters, crocheters, spinners, and weavers to celebrate the Fiber arts. Attendants will spend the day with fellow fiber crafters and hopefully leave inspired by the fiber arts.
She is looking for a good mix of vendors with goods that would appeal to knitters, spinners, crocheters, and weavers. The event will be marketed online, in print and throughout the Spokane/CDA area. If interested please PM NaughtyKnits on Ravelry.com with a description of your product, your name, email and any questions you may have.

Reading mitts
All done? Took me about 18 hrs, which is a record since they were done in 3 days. The wool was dyed by me. I used grasshopper green and purple in the country colors. The wool is superwash BFL, spun and navajo plyed. I am already working on another pair. The ones I made and dyed last year with elderberry are just too light a color and look dirty after only an hour wearing them, so these will be a great replacement. I might need a neck warmer to match.
Walnut dye bath
It doesn't look like much, yet. It has to cook for 2 hrs, then I will strain it with cheese cloth before adding the wool back in and heating for another 2 hours. It looks promising as my finger are brown from just cutting up the walnut hulls. Wish me luck.

Every day
Every day I come home to a ball of yarn placed gently on the dogs bed, by the cat. I wonder what she's trying to tell me.
