Winter is coming - no use being in denial.

And my new favorite hot drink is:

16oz hot water
1/2 tsp orange flavored Crystal Light
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 T creamer (powdered)

Cabbage borsch for canning

We cut these babies out of the ground 30 seconds before butchering and canning into soup. This may end up being an all day event.

It's plum time again

The plum trees are dropping their plums again. We've never pruned them, so there is no ability to just pick them and eat them. I usually just shake the tree, and then dodge them as they fall - and then promptly explode when they hit the ground.

No worries, they taste just as good. And - I mostly can jam or plum sauce from them.

Interesting results

In this picture, the original color is the gray alpaca/merino superwash. The left green/blue is the same gray yarn dyed with Country Classics mountain aqua. The right black yarn, is the original gray, dyed with Country Classics grasshopper green - not what I expected at all

Angela's apron???

Not sure I can call this an Angelas apron any longer. The only thing so far that I have not modified from the pattern is the cast on of 108 stitches.
